 Washington State Crime Victim Service Center Hotline

Are you, or someone you know, a victim of crime? The Washington State Crime Victim Service Center Hotline (WACVSCH) can help. Victims of crime across Washington State can speak with a trained advocate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. No matter when you call, help is available.

WACVSCH can also locate an advocate at a crime victim service center near you. Crime Victim Service Centers offer a variety of services including crisis intervention, advocacy, courtroom support, information, resources and more.


Statewide Automated Victim Information and Notification (SAVIN)

SAVIN is a free and anonymous telephone service that provides petitioners access information about protective orders.  Petitioners can registered to be notified by phone when a protective order is served, when the order is about to expire, and when other related events occur; without the respondent's knowledge. Register for free phone notification at 1-(877)-242-4055.


Victim Information and Notification Everyday (VINELink)     Victim Information

VINELink is the online version the National Victim Notification Network. This service allows crime victims to obtain timely and reliable information about criminal cases and the custody status of offenders 24 hours a day.

Victims and other concerned citizens can also register to be notified by phone, email, text message (SMS) or TTY device when an offender's custody status changes. Users can also register through their participating state or county toll-free number.

Victim Notification Program     

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) is committed to protecting the public and ensuring that the rights of victims are carefully observed.  HSI administers a Victim Notification Program which allows eligible victims and witnesses to obtain reliable and timely information regarding a criminal alien's release from custody. Victims and witnesses can register to received notifications.


Crime Victims Compensation Program       Crime Victim Compensation

If you or a loved one has suffered personal injury from a violent crime, the Washington State Crime Victim Compensation Program may be able to help. This program was created to help victims with the many costs associated with violent crime.

The program provides financial compensation to crime victims for such expenses as medical bills, loss of earnings, and funeral expenses. While no amount of compensation can erase the painful memories of violent crime, we hope this program will help in your recovery and ease some of the financial burdens you face.

OffenderWatch® is the nation's leading registered sex offender management and community notification tool with hundreds of leading agencies in dozens of states utilizing it. Island County's law enforcement utilizes OffenderWatch® to manage and monitor the whereabouts, conduct and compliance status of the registered offenders in Island County.

The Washington Association of Sheriffs & Police Chiefs (WASPC) website provides statewide and national sex offender search capabilities in addition to educational resources.

Victim Services Program       

Victims, witnesses, and other concerned community members can enroll to receive information when an offender moves through the prison system towards eventual release.

Find an Offender        

In the interest of public safety, DOC makes the name, DOC number and location of incarcerated offenders available to the general public. While the information is believed to be accurate, DOC makes no warranties, express or implied. This information is updated nightly. 


Internet Crime Complaint Center       

The Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) is a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C), and the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA). IC3's mission is to serve as a vehicle to receive, develop, and refer criminal complaints regarding the rapidly expanding arena of cyber crime. The IC3 gives the victims of cyber crime a convenient and easy-to-use reporting mechanism that alerts authorities of suspected criminal or civil violations.
