When we look at the most beautiful towns and cities of the past, we are always impressed by the fact that they have been well designed.  Each of these towns grew as a whole in their natural environment, and we can feel their beauty not only at the largest scale but in every detail:  in the government buildings, restaurants, in the houses, shops, roads, parks and gardens, even in the sidewalks, many of which are bordered by flowers and trees.

The City of Oak Harbor Gifts and Memorials Program provides us with another way to contribute to the natural beauty of our City.  Whether it is a gift of plants for landscaping, a picnic table or play equipment for one of our thirty-three parks, it will contribute to future planned use.
