Wecome to Oak Harbor Fire Department!

Oak Harbor Fire Department

Oak Harbor Fire Department (OHFD) provides fire protection, basic rescue and first responder medical services to the City of Oak Harbor, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  The department operates from one fire station staffed by 46 employees.  We respond to approximately 1,300 incidents each year ranging from house fires and heart attacks to vehicle accidents and hazardous conditions.  OHFD proudly carries an Insurance Services Office (ISO) rating of 4 which enables residents and businesses to enjoy low property insurance premiums.
All Oak Harbor firefighters and fire officers are certified to at least Firefighter I.  OHFD operates a fire training center adjacent to Station 81 and the Island County Fire Recruit Academy is based there. The annual budget of OHFD is approximately $1.9 million and the department protects an estimated $1,953,613,398 worth of property.
Our firefighters are well trained and dedicated to provide the best possible emergency services to our citizens and visitors.  Visitors are always welcome at our fire station (especially children) and we provide a wide range of services and assistance daily.  As you browse our website you will learn of our many services and also ways to improve your own safety and protection.  Please have a safe day.
