North Whidbey Parks and Recreation
The John Vanderzicht Memorial Swimming Pool is operated by the North Whidbey Park and Recreation District. Some of the pool's features include a ball swing, 1meter diving board, blow up octopus (named Oakie), hot tub, dry sauna, weight room, and party room. The pool is 6 lanes, 25 meters, and is kept at about 82 F.

The Northwest Clean Air Agency (NWCAA) is one of seven regional air quality control agencies located throughout Washington State. It was established in 1967 after passage of the Washington State Clean Air Act (RCW 70.94). The agency is responsible for enforcing federal, state and local air pollution regulations in Island, Skagit and Whatcom counties.

2008 Oak Harbor Comprehensive Plan Amendments
The City of Oak Harbor announces that the application period for proposals to amend the Oak Harbor Comprehensive Plan is now open. According to the Growth Management Act, cities may amend their plan only once per year. To guarantee consideration in 2008, complete applications must be submitted at City Hall by the close of business on April 30, 2008.

Highway Improvement Funding
